I want to take this project further and create many more stories through a short film series, collaborating with my family and others in the Pacific communities to bring them to life and preserve them as digital learning resources, as well as entertainment for a global audience to see our beautiful and ancient Pacific traditions.\n\nThe preservation and creation of digital adaptation of stories like Sina and the Eel is a valuable resource for New Zealand-born Pacific Islanders to learn about their culture’s history and connect with it like I have.\n\nAlongside the series of short and feature-length Pacific films, I want to develop and publish picture books and other merchandise to go with each story to ensure a wide, global reach of Pacific and Maori myths and legends. \n\nTo take this idea further and be able to produce my films under my own company, I would require funding and help with acquiring certain 2D and 3D software and resources in order to create the films and put them together. Coming from a design background rather than business, I would need guidance with structuring my company to ensure its success and to be able to maintain it over time, which this program could help me with significantly.
